Edenvale Expedition Series Trio
The Spanish Expedition Series is an ambitious range of Spanish varietals that includes a full-bodied and complex Tempranillo Cabernet Sauvignon, a fresh Verdejo Sauvignon Blanc and a crisp Spanish Sparkling Cuvee.
SPARKLING CUVEE
Macabeo, with its origins in north eastern Spain, is renowned for its fresh acidity and citrus flavour. Complemented by the rich stone fruit notes of Chardonnay, the result is a crisp and classic Spanish sparkling wine with fresh citrus and apricot aromas, with a refreshing tingle of acidity on the finish.
This refreshing Spanish Sparkling Cuvee pairs perfectly with tapas, Manchego cheese, olives, almonds, smoked salmon and Prosciutto or Serrano ham. It’s an excellent match for a luxurious charcuterie board!
TEMPRANILLO CABERNET SAUVIGNON
Tempranillo is the emblematic Spanish varietal. Deep in colour, with cherry and vanilla aromas and notes of blackberry bramble and fig, the addition of Cabernet Sauvignon enriches the fruit flavours and adds structure to the full, rich and spicy finish.
Our Tempranillo Cabernet Sauvignon is an obvious choice to pair with Spanish favourites like tapas, pork, grilled steak, and chorizo. It also goes well with Italian and tomato-based dishes like lasagna and pizza, as well as burgers and barbecued meats.
VERDEJO SAUVIGNON BLANC
Originating from central Spain, Verdejo is now widely grown all over the country and considered its best white varietal. With a light, bright colour and hints of fennel and grapefruit aromatics, the addition of Sauvignon Blanc adds richness and aromatic tropical notes, resulting in the perfect splash of Spanish summer.
The fresh and fruity flavours of our Verdejo Sauvignon Blanc it makes a harmonious match with a wide variety of foods. Pair it with all kinds of rice dishes, pasta, warm salads, spicy foods, fresh cheeses and grilled vegetables.
