Description

Saicho Sparkling Hojicha Tea 200 mL is a single-serve non-alcoholic sparkling tea made with roasted green tea from Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. This Hojicha is grown at approximately 200 metres altitude and made by roasting second flush Sencha green tea, a process that creates its deep reddish brown colour and warm, toasty flavour.

Cold brewed for 24 hours, Saicho Hojicha has a rich, round texture with savoury depth and a slightly bitter finish. Aromas of rich wood, blackcurrant leaf, and orange blossom lead into nori seaweed, roasted hazelnut, delicate smoke, and dry woody tannins.

This 200 mL bottle makes it easy to enjoy with one meal. It pairs especially well with sushi, roasted duck, mushroom risotto, mushroom purée, grilled vegetables, miso-glazed dishes, and other umami-rich foods.
