Best Non-Alcoholic Wines
Non-alcoholic wine has come a long way in recent years. With a rise in demand, there has also been a leap in quality, with premium wine growing grapes being used to make some of the best non-alcoholic wines on the market. We sample hundreds of non-alcoholic drinks, and have compiled a list of some of our favourite wines:
1. Edenvale Expedition Series Tempranillo Cabernet Sauvignon
Edenvale is based in South Australia, though their Expedition series takes us around the world to central Spain. This Tempranillo Cabernet Sauvignon is on the top of our favourite list for a reason.
This classic Spanish varietal is deep in colour and flavour, featuring notes of fig, blackberry, and a hint of vanilla. Full, and rich, with a spicy, yet dry, finish.
2. Colibri Spumante Rosé
From Northern Italy, Colibri Spumante Rosé is made in the same region, and same grapes, as some of the world's best Prosecco's.
Coral pink in colour, with notes of red berries, honey, and apple. Structured bubbles, and a pleasant acidity make this sparkling wine perfect for any occasion or celebration.
3. Edenvale Expedition Series Verdejo Sauvignon Blanc
The second wine from Edenvale's Spanish Expedition Series on our list. Maybe we're biased, or maybe they are just this good!
Originating from central Spain, Verdejo is considered to be one of Spain's best white varietal. A light, bright colour and hints of fennel and grapefruit aromatics, with the addition of Sauvignon Blanc adds richness and aromatic tropical notes, resulting in the perfect splash of Spanish summer.
4. Giesen Pinot Grigio
Only premium grapes from vineyards in Marlborough, Waipara and Hawke’s Bay are used to ensure a beautifully structured Pinot Grigio with delicate floral aromatics and stonefruit flavours.
This alcohol-removed Pinot Grigio features delicate floral notes with white flowers, lychee, and red apple on the nose. The palate offers traditional Pinot Grigio characters of apple and pear with just a touch of muscat grape. Light, delicious, and balanced between acidity and sweetness.
5. Lautus Savy Red
Lautus Savvy Red showcases red and black berry fruit flavours, with a touch of oak. The elegant palate is underpinned by fine tannin and juicy yet subtle fruit.
Honourable Mention: Benjamin Bridge Piquette Zero
Not identical to wine, Benjamin Bridge Piquette Zero uses a process involving grape skins with natural flavours and aromas to create this wine-style spritzer
Completely non-alcoholic, gluten free, and zero sugar, it's not hard to see why this was the drink of the summer.
